Tatiana Del Toro had something else to cry about. The emotional 28-year-old crooner from San Juan, Puerto Rico, was one of nine "American Idol" semifinalists sent packing Wednesday.
Del Toro, whom judge Simon Cowell called a "drama queen" after her performance Tuesday, bawled after she wasn't selected to continue in the singing competition.
No tears were shed by the first three finalists of season eight: Alexis Grace, the soulful 21-year-old single mother from Memphis, Tenn.; Michael Sarver, the beefy 27-year-old oil rig worker from Jasper, Texas; and Danny Gokey, the spikey-haired 28-year-old church music director from Milwaukee. The trio received the most viewer votes.
Actor Sues Over Millions In Profit
Don Johnson has sued a trio of entertainment companies, claiming he is owed millions of dollars in profit from the TV series "Nash Bridges."
Johnson filed his suit Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. He claims he owns half of the copyright to "Nash Bridges" and has not been paid his share of a $150 million syndication deal.
He is suing the now-defunct Rysher Entertainment, 2929 Entertainment, which was founded by Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner, and Qualia Capital. Qualia Capital bought Rysher's catalog from 2929 in 2006, the lawsuit states.
Ex-TV Host Could Face Jail Time
Authorities have charged Gary Collins with drunken driving.
The actor and former TV host has two previous drunken driving convictions, and authorities say he could face up to 120 days in jail if convicted.
The California Highway patrol arrested Collins, 70, on Jan. 31 on suspicion of driving a motor home while drunk.
Authorities gauged his blood alcohol content as .29, more than three times the .08 level at which a person is presumed impaired, said Lee Carter, Santa Barbara senior deputy district attorney.
Collins is a former host of the Miss America Pageant and has appeared in episodes of "The Young and the Restless" and "JAG."
