A man killed as he crossed Snively Avenue in Winter Haven on Feb. 13 was identified today as 51-year-old Philip John Wilson.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol released Wilson's name after they had reached and notified next of kin.
Wilson, of Winteer Haven, and Barry D. McGee, 48, of Clearwater, were killed when they were struck by a 2003 Oldsmobile sport-utility vehicle driven by Locrastia S. Parker, 37, of Lehigh Acres, troopers said.
The incident happened just before midnight near the U.S. Highway 17 intersection, troopers said.
No charges were immediately filed.
Parker and her passengers, Leroy Griffin, 40; Leroy Knighten, 13, and Leviticus Knighten, 15, all of Lehigh Acres, were uninjured.
