EASY WAY TO SPAY

If you've got a potential mama cat and no desire to find homes for a litter of kittens, get a deal on spaying her this month at Pinellas County Animal Services, 12450 Ulmerton Road, Largo. The cost is $30, and your proof of purchase gets you a $1 rabies vaccination; for people on public assistance, there is no charge. Can't get to Largo? On Tuesday, the mobile unit will be parked at the Pinellas Park Health Department, 350 76th Ave. N., Pinellas Park. To make an appointment or for information, call (727) 586-3591.

PUPPY (AND KITTY) LOVE

Nothing beats a purring kitty in your lap or a snoring dog by your side for a sense of peace and contentment. Did you know there are health benefits to owning pets? Learn more about it at Feline Folks' free session from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at South Shore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin. For information, call (813) 944-7651.
