Pedestrian Killed Crossing Nebraska Avenue Identified

TAMPA - The pedestrian who died this morning after he was hit by a pickup on Nebraska Avenue has been identified as 48-year-old Ealey Payton Brunson Jr. of Thomson, Ga.
Brunson was walking east across Nebraska Avenue near 128th Avenue East about 7 a.m. when he walked into the path of a 2000 GMC truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Brunson was thrown into the median of 128th Avenue and died at the scene, troopers say.
The truck's driver, Mark Stephen Wasmund, 45, of Tampa, was not hurt.
