Preston Parker's legal problems are continuing less than a month after his was kicked off Florida State University's football team.
Parker was charged with DUI by Tallahassee police in January. That arrest violated his probation in a Palm Beach County case, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Parker turned himself in Sunday night, and he was being held in the Palm Beach County jail, according to the sheriff's office Web site.
Parker had been arrested April 21 and charged with a felony for carrying a concealed weapon and a misdemeanor for possession of 4.81 grams of marijuana. In May, he pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges after accepting a deal with prosecutors and received 12 months probation and 50 hours of community service. He was also suspended for the first two games on the 2008 season.
On Jan. 31, Parker was found asleep in his car in a Tallahassee fast-food restaurant's drive-through lane. The police report said Parker admitted he had been drinking and smoking marijuana, and he was charged with driving under the influence.
The wide receiver, voted by FSU coaches as the offensive most valuable player during the 2007 season, was dismissed from the football team after that arrest.
Parker, of Delray Beach, was also arrested in 2006 after police said he tried to steal a DVD from Best Buy. The charge was dismissed after he entered a diversionary program and paid $200 in court costs.
