BROOKSVILLE - A teenager was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation after deputies reportedly discovered him having sex with his underage girlfriend.
The alleged tryst in the back seat of Stephen Young's Ford Mustang was interrupted by deputies Sunday. Young, 18, said he didn't know he was doing anything unlawful, according to an affidavit.
His girlfriend, who is between the ages of 12 and 16, contradicted that statement, however, when she told deputies the two spoke about the possibility of Young going to jail on several occasions, according to an affidavit.
Caught In The Act, Suspect Surrenders
SPRING HILL - Sometimes suspects caught in the act concoct elaborate tales to explain their actions while other scofflaws swing their fists at deputies.
Ronald Kiger, 41, did neither when he was caught at 3 a.m. behind a pawn shop with a stolen lawnmower, an affidavit shows.
"You got me," Kiger told the approaching deputy as he put his hands into the air.
Minutes earlier, Kiger had used a pair of bolt cutters to snip a chain link fence behind Gold n Pawn on County Line Road and remove a lawnmower from the yard, an affidavit states.
Kiger was charged with commercial burglary, possession of burglary tools and grand theft.
