Regarding "This Pacesetter Soldiers On" (Joe Henderson, Feb. 22):
This story about Army Maj. David Rozelle gives hope to all when we are tempted to slack off at work or with commitments we have made to others.
No doubt that when he graduated from college, was commissioned into the Army and made his wedding vows, Rozelle promised to do his best. As he recovered from his war injury, he rededicated himself and will do so again this coming Gasparilla Distance Classic weekend.
Just being a participant makes him a winner, whether he finishes first or last. Maj. Rozelle is a model for all of us in America.
