Art Show Needs Artists, Musicians

The Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce is accepting artist applications for its juried fine arts show at the Shops at Wiregass in April.

More than 75 artists are expected for the event April 18 and 19.

Pottery Classes Scheduled

San Antonio Pottery, 11903 Curley Road, will begin spring classes Tuesday. All classes are for beginner and intermediate wheel-throwing and hand-building.

Classes are 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through April 7. Beginning March 4, there will be two sessions every Wednesday through April 8, one from 9:30 a.m. to noon and the other from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The cost for each session is $195 and includes 25 pounds of clay, glazes, firings and two hours of bonus studio time each week. Direct-Mailing Is Seminar Topic
The U.S. Postal Service will hold a business seminar March 11 on direct-mail campaigns.

The seminar will include handouts and time for questions. The seminar will be at the Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce, 14112 Eighth St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Registration is open to the public, but space is limited.

Elks To Hold Dinner-Dance

Elks Lodge 2731 will hold a Mardi Gras dinner-dance Saturday.

Michigan Transplants Plan Reunion

Winter residents from Michigan's Capac-Imlay City area will hold their 24th annual reunion in Zephyrhills at noon Saturday at Oaks Royal III clubhouse on Dean Dairy Road.

Fundraiser Is A Hair Thing

Holly Combast, a senior at Mitchell High School, will be holding a fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Friday as part of her senior project.

The fundraiser, Braids for AIDS and A Cut for the Cause, will raise money for Francis House, a local nonprofit organization that works with people who have HIV or AIDS. The public is invited to stop by the cosmetology department at Marchman Technical Center, 7825 Campus Drive, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to have hair braided, cut or styled.
