TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Rays have sold out their regular-season home opener against the New York Yankees on April 13, the team announced.
The last tickets went this morning during a pre-sale to Rays Insider subscribers. Registered online subscribers were e-mailed a presale password, allowing them to purchase tickets online starting at 9 a.m.
Other single-game tickets go on sale to the general public online via www.raysbaseball.com at 9 a.m. Friday. Tickets are available for the remaining home-opening three-game series against the Yankees.
The Rays are promoting Championship Week at Tropicana Field, with premium fan giveaways. Fans can pick up replica American League championship rings April 14 and commemorative AL championship cowbells the following day.
Remaining single-game tickets go on sale through all other outlets, including the stadium box office and all Ticketmaster outlets, at 9 a.m. Saturday. The Rays' Tampa office is at Park Tower, 400 N. Tampa St. Tickets are also available at the concierge desk at International Plaza, 2223 N. West Shore Blvd.
