Couples who are proud of their parenting skills take notice, there's a new reality show looking for mamas and papas who can teach surly teens a thing or two.

And there's a need for rebellious, back-talking, slacker and show-off kids to be molded in model citizens on "World's Strictest Parents."

Talent scouts from this new reality show will be in Clearwater Beach Saturday looking for unruly teens and responsible parents.

"We really need parents with strong family values" says casting agent Jen Apploff. "And we need teenagers who want to live with another family and trade in their parents for a new set for almost an entire week."

Apploff says the focus of this new show is how teens who have no discipline at home adjust when they are placed into the home of strict disciplinarians.

Based on a British series, "World's Strictest Parents" is from Shed Media US.

CMT has picked up eight episodes of the one-hour reality and reportedly will debut it in April. Shed
Media also produces "Supernanny," "It's Me Or The Dog" (Animal Planet) and "The Real Housewives of NYC" (Bravo).

The open casting call is at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Frenchy's Rockaway Grill is at 7 Rockaway St., Clearwater Beach.

Those who can't make it to the casting can call 888-41-TEENS (1-888-418-3367) or apply online at www.theworldsstrictestparents.com.

Executive producer Nick Emmerson says they are seeking "parents with unique interests; conservatives; farmers; parents with devout religious beliefs; academics; eco-friendly parents; and parents who have ordinary or extraordinary circumstances."

Apploff says the parents should have experience in raising teenagers. "Either they currently have teenage children at home or their children are grown," she says.

The casting team also is looking for teenagers (with parental approval) from every type of background "who are ready to participate in a social experiment exploring the world of the 21st century teenager matched against contemporary parenting styles."

The producers are seeking teens "with unique interests; technically savvy teens; hippies; urbanites; slobs; surfers; affluent teens; liberals; defiant teens; and teens that have ordinary or extraordinary circumstances."
