TAMPA - - University of South Florida senior G Jesus Verdejo, who was the Bulls' top 3-point shooter, may be out for the rest of the season with a right foot injury.
Verdejo was USF's top 3-pointer shooter (49 of 129) and the Bulls' second leading scorer (12.6 points). However, he did not score in USF's past three games. He was scoreless against Georgetown Feb. 18, did not play against UConn on Feb. 21 because of the injury and was also scoreless Wednesday at Seton Hall.
At Sunday's game against West Virginia, USF will hold an alumni reunion for former players before the 4 p.m. tipoff.
USF is 8-19 overall, 3-12 in the Big East.
