SPRING HILL - A woman bit her boyfriend and attacked him with a steak knife on Thursday after he told her their relationship was over.
When the victim broke the news to Detra Washington, she refused to leave their apartment at 3400 Lamson Ave., a report states. The victim started to leave, but had to intervene when Washington began cutting up his clothes with a pair of scissors.
Washington tried to stab him with the scissors, then beat his shoulder with an 8-inch dinner plate, the report states. The victim was able to temporarily restrain Washington, but then she bit him on his hands and shoulders, according to the report.
The victim grabbed the scissors and let Washington go, but then she grabbed a steak knife and began slashing clothes left in the laundry room. When Washington approached her, she swung the knife at him, nicking the door frame at the height of the victim's throat, the report states.
The victim bolted out of the house and into his car, but Washington jumped on the hood and prevented him from leaving. The victim abandoned his car and ran to the neighbor's apartment, where he called authorities.
Washington, 23, was charged with aggravated battery.
