Leads Sought In Palmetto Fatal Shooting

Investigators are searching for leads this morning in the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old in Palmetto.

Manatee County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a shooting at about 3:45 a.m. at 2324 Fifth Avenue Drive E. They found Tevin Yawn fatally shot in the back yard, officials said.

Detectives think two people entered the home through the back door, went to Yawn's room and attacked him.

They asked anyone with information about the shooting to call the Manatee County Sheriff's Office at (941) 747-3011, ext. 2159, or Crime Stoppers at (866) 634-8477.
