LUTZ - Crowds gathered recently to watch a little glow in the dark.

To be exact, it was a big glow involving hot-air balloons.

Five hot-air balloon companies joined forces to host the Light Up the Night Hot Air Balloon Holiday Festival on Dec. 20 at Hollie's Nursery.

"We fly over all the time," said Jessica Warren, owner of American Balloons. "We wanted to give the community a 'thank you' and give them the opportunity to see the balloons up close."

The event allowed people to stand nearby as the balloons were set up. And as the skies darkened, the balloon pilots would light the burners, resulting in the glow effect.
