Deputies: Riverview Man Drinks, Tries To Strangle Wife

Eroy Hagens Jr. was drunk when he came home early today and got into an argument with his wife, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
He shoved and choked her and shoved a 15-year-old boy who tried to intervene, according to Carter.
While he was choking his wife, he shouted that he was going to kill her, she said.
He also grabbed her by the hair and threw her across a bed, causing her to strike her head on a dresser, a criminal arrest affidavit states.
Deputies arrested Hagens, 36, of Riverview, about 1:20 a.m. today. He was charged with attempted murder, domestic battery by strangulation and battery.
Hagens remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail has not been set.
