A small fire in one of the back storage rooms at a Greyhound bus terminal in downtown St. Petersburg this evening will cause the terminal to be out of service for the rest of the night, St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue Lt. Joel Granata said.
Firefighters responded to the terminal at 180 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. at 7:42 p.m. About 10 to 20 people were being evacuated from the one-story building.
It was a trash fire and was put out within seven minutes. Because of damage to electrical wiring, however, power to the building needed to be disconnected, Granata said.
No one was injured.
An investigator will determine what caused the fire, he said.
