In March 2006, Pinellas County real estate agent Julie Roberts was pistol-whipped and robbed by a man posing as a perspective home buyer.
She spent four hours showing the robber houses until he pulled a gun on her in a vacant house in St. Petersburg. He ransacked her car and stole bank cards he later tried to use at a convenience store.
Now her story is scheduled to air on the Biography Channel's "I Survived" program.
The program tells stories of people who survived life-threatening experiences. It is scheduled to run at 9 p.m. Jan. 19.
The attack on Roberts rippled through the local real estate industry, prompting warnings to be sent to 8,000 real estate agents and the Pinellas County Board of Realtors to conduct safety seminars for agents.
