ST. PETERSBURG - The windows of 19 cars were smashed within a four-hour period Saturday morning, St. Petersburg police said.
The first one was reported smashed at 2:17 a.m. at 401 52nd Ave. S., and the last at 5:39 a.m. at 2845 Eighth Avenue N., said St. Petersburg police spokesman George Kajtsa.
The cars were spread throughout town, and the culprit or culprits vandalized the cars in clusters, smashing the windows of a few cars in one location before moving northward, Kajtsa said.
