TAMPA - Police were called to the Apollo South Lounge, 5110 N. 40th St., this morning to investigate a report of a man being stabbed.
Security kicked Tavarius Daniels, 27, of Tampa, out of a lounge early this morning, and he was found by security several minutes later with a stab wound to his abdomen, according to a police report. Police were called at 2:46 a.m.
Daniels was in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital, but his injuries weren't life threatening, according to a police report. No witnesses or suspects were found.
The club was in the news recently in connection with the slaying of Jennifer Denise Johnson. Johnson and her ex-boyfriend, Vincent George Brown Jr., were seen arguing at 11 p.m. Nov. 14 at the club, police said.
Authorities said Johnson and Brown also went to his parent's house in Tampa at 3 a.m. Nov. 15. Johnson's body was found in a vacant house in Lakeland on Nov. 18, three days after she was reported missing by her relatives.
