The Frontier Airlines Pilots Association has ratified an agreement - that includes a 10 percent pay cut - to help the Denver-based company reorganize under bankruptcy protection.

The deal returns pay rates to current levels in 2012.

Frontier provides one daily round-trip flight between Denver and Tampa International Airport.

The agreement reached Monday by a 384-70 vote is expected to help Frontier save cash and make the company more attractive to investors. Frontier has about 600 pilots.

"Our pilots once again have demonstrated their willingness to help Frontier's leadership move our airline toward sustainability and growth," Frontier President and Chief Executive Officer Sean Menke said in a statement.

The airline is expected to emerge from bankruptcy protection by June.

Frontier carried 800,609 passengers in December, a decrease of 1 percent compared with December 2007.
