EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Giants leading rusher Brandon Jacobs returned to practice Wednesday and pronounced himself ready to go for the NFC semifinal against the Eagles.
Jacobs missed the regular-season finale against the Vikings because of season-long problems with his left knee. He hurt it early in the season and aggravated it against the Eagles in a loss Dec. 7.
"The difference today is that I can go out and run full speed and I can make harder cuts," said Jacobs, who rushed for 1,089 yards this season despite missing three games. "I'm ready to go. I feel real good. I feel real good about our situation and where we are right now. I am just going to wait for the game to begin."
DE Justin Tuck (lower leg injury) and LB-long snapper Zak DeOssie (back) both did not practice Wednesday, although Coach Tom Coughlin was optimistic they would work out today.
PANTHERS: Carolina should have starting defensive tackles Maake Kemoeatu and Damione Lewis back for Saturday's NFC divisional playoff game against Arizona.
Kemoeatu, Lewis and right OT Jeff Otah practiced Wednesday after being sidelined by injuries late in the regular season.
"We had a little hiatus, but we got them back. That was a good reason for the bye," Coach John Fox said. "We should be at full strength."
CARDINALS: Arizona WR Anquan Boldin rested his injured hamstring Wednesday and said he's not sure he'll play in the divisional playoff at Carolina.
Boldin hurt the hamstring on a 71-yard TD catch in Arizona's 30-24 victory against Atlanta in the wild-card round last weekend.
He's undergoing treatment but doesn't plan to test the hamstring before game time Saturday.
