Police Investigate 2nd Bank Robbery This Week

LAND O' LAKES - Pasco County sheriff's deputies are investigating a bank robbery - the second since Tuesday - but it's not thought to be the work of the same man, said sheriff's office spokesman Kevin Doll.

Just after 10 a.m. Thursday, a man walked into Bank of America, 21725 Village Lakes Shopping Center Drive, and handed a teller a ote indicating he had a weapon and demanding money. No weapon was seen, according to Doll, and nobody was injured.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money and fled east on State Road 54 in a green Jeep Liberty.

The man is described as between 30 and 40 years old, about 6 feet tall with a heavy build and brown hair and a mustache. He was wearing a blue cap, blue shirt and tan pants.

On Tuesday, a man wearing a mask and carrying a machete robbed a Bank of America on State Road 54 in New Port Richey. Nobody was hurt during that robbery and no suspects have been arrested.
