LAND O’ LAKES - Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed a Bank of America on Thursday morning.
About 10 a.m., a man between 30 and 40 years old walked into the bank at 21725 Village Lakes Shopping Center Drive, near State Road 54 and U.S. 41, deputies said. The man handed a teller a note inferring he had a gun and demanded cash, deputies said. No weapon was seen, and nobody was hurt.
The man then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a green Jeep Liberty or similar vehicle, deputies said.
He was between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot with brown hair and eyes and light moustache. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket, light blue polo shirt, white T-shirt under the polo shirt, khaki pants and a navy blue baseball cap with "F&M" on it, investigators said. He was carrying a blue zippered bag.
Surveillance photos from the bank are "very clear," according to Crime Stoppers, and Pasco sheriff's detectives are confident someone will recognize the thief.
