LAND O' LAKES - Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed a Bank of America on Thursday morning.
About 10 a.m., a man between 30 and 40 years old walked into the bank at 21725 Village Lakes Shopping Center Drive, near State Road 54 and U.S. 41, deputies said. The man handed a teller a note inferring he had a gun and demanded cash, deputies said. No weapon was seen and nobody was hurt.
The man then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a green Jeep Liberty or similar vehicle, deputies said.
He was between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with brown hair and eyes, and light mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket, light blue polo shirt, white T-shirt under the polo shirt, khaki pants and a navy blue baseball cap with "F&M" on it, investigators said. He was carrying a blue zippered bag.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for the cash reward. Report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or by text to CRIMES (274637), keyword: Tip155.
