Accident Shuts Southbound I-75 Lanes In Tampa

TAMPA - A single vehicle crash has shut down two lanes of southbound Interstate 75 just north of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened about 9 p.m. One person is reported to have suffered serious injuries in the crash, authorities say.
One lane of southbound I-75 remains open, highway patrol spokesman Sgt. Steve Gaskins said.
A medical helicopter is on its way to the crash scene, Gaskins said.
