EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Quarterback Donovan McNabb still doesn't see it, but the 2008 Philadelphia Eagles are starting to look an awful lot like the 2007 New York Giants.
After beating the defending Super Bowl champion Giants 23-11 at the Meadowlands on Sunday, the Eagles need just one more victory to reach the Super Bowl in precisely the same way the Giants did.
The Giants got to that big game last year by winning three straight road playoff games. The Eagles are two-thirds of the way there now with only the NFC Championship Game at Arizona standing between them and their third Super Bowl appearance.
"This team is buzzing right now," said McNabb, who threw for one touchdown, ran for another and accounted for 233 of the Eagles' 276 yards of total offense Sunday. "We're having fun again."
Philadelphia was given up for dead after a 5-5-1 start, but the benching for a half of McNabb sparked a turnaround that has seen the Eagles win five of their last six, including two against the host Giants.
