Man Faces Multiple Child Pornography Charges

TAMPA - A 36-year-old man charged with possession of child pornography had shared and downloaded videos showing children involved in bondage and bestiality, officials said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office today arrested David Cabrera at his apartment at 4747 W. Waters Ave., after serving a search warrant with the Cybercrime Task Force of the Florida Attorney General's Office.

"He was sharing and downloading and just dealing in child porn," sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway said.

Cabrera is charged with 27 felony counts of possession of child pornography. He was held at Orient Road Jail with bail set at $54,000.

According to the sheriff's office, detectives identified Cabrera during a monthlong investigation.

Some of the videos found on his computer showed children as young as 2 years old being sexually abused, the sheriff's office said. Other videos depicted children ages 10 to 12 involved in bondage and bestiality, the agency said.

Cabrera's computer is undergoing further forensic analysis, the sheriff's office said.

The investigation continues, Callaway said.
