TAMPA - "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials 2009," an interactive entertainment special hosted by sports announcer Jim Nantz and Daisy Fuentes, will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Jan. 31 on CBS.
This one-hour special, now in its ninth year, will originate from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and showcase 10 of the greatest Super Bowl commercials of all time.
This year's Super Bowl, airing Feb. 1 on NBC, is setting a record at $3 million per 30 seconds of commercial time.
The 10 greatest Super Bowl commercials will vie for the No. 1 spot. Viewers can go to www.cbs.com/superbowl to watch them and vote for their favorite. The top three picks will be revealed during the show.
Viewers also will be able to catch a sneak peak of this year's most highly anticipated commercials before the game as well as get a behind-the-scenes look at how their favorite spots are made.
In addition, the special will retire one of the most legendary commercials of all time: Coca-Cola's "Mean Joe Greene" spot, which has been the "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercial" winner for the past six years.
