TAMPA - People, wake up and smell the coffee!
OK, apparently you already did.
Which helps explain why Tampa is the nation's most caffeinated city, up from No. 2 last year, according to a report released this morning.
Other findings in the second HealthSaver Caffeinated Cities Survey: Tampa residents are the second most likely to drink caffeinated tea daily.
But we also ranked No. 1 (tied with Chicago) in saying we're least likely to be addicted to caffeine. Go figure.
Joining Tampa in the top five caffeinated cities were, in descending order: Seattle, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.
The top five least caffeinated cities: Riverside/San Bernardino, Calif.; Atlanta; San Diego; Minneapolis/St. Paul; and Dallas.
In addition to coffee and tea, the survey considered other caffeine sources such as sodas, energy drinks (Tampa folks seem to like Red Bull and its ilk), chocolate and pain relievers.
Seattle residents consumed the most coffee – again.

But first pour yourself another cup of Joe. After all, Tampa has a national title to defend.
