Too Late For Backup Plan

The Jan. 11 article by Adrian Sainz, "Retirees May Need A Backup Plan," misses the point.
He is writing about those preparing to retire. For many of us, staying on the job is not an option. Nor is anything else in the article.
What is needed is a reporter capable of looking at the large Florida population of those who have already retired, did not bank on false equity in a ballooning housing market, did all the "right things" in investments, and do not have the time left to recover substantial losses of our life savings.
