Country singer Faith Hill has been selected to sing "America the Beautiful" during the Super Bowl XLIII pregame festivities at Raymond James Stadium on Feb.1, the National Football League and NBC announced today.
The Grammy-winning artist sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl XXXIV in 2000. She also sings the theme-song for NBC's Sunday night NFL coverage.
Hill also is scheduled to perform next week during the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama. She is one of the featured artists at "Kids' Inaugural: We Are the Future" at 8 p.m. Monday on the Disney Channel. And she will sing at "The Neighborhood Ball: An Inauguration Celebration," at 8 p.m. Tuesday on ABC.
It was previously announced that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform in the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLIII Halftime Show. Also Jennifer Hudson will sing the national anthem.
