PORT RICHEY - A 25-year-old Hernando County man was arrested Wednesday night, accused of robbing a Pasco bank two days before.
Robert Jon Tyler's image was captured by cameras just after 4 p.m. Monday as he robbed the Bank Atlantic at 8522 U.S. 19, police said. He handed a teller a note saying he had a weapon and demanding money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was seen and nobody was injured.
Tellers identified Tyler from a photo pack of suspects, police said.
He was arrested about 7 p.m. Wednesday as he left the T.J. Maxx on U.S.19, just north of State Road 52, in Hudson.
Tyler of 11375 Topaz St., Spring Hill, was being held Thursday in the Land O' Lakes Jail on a charge of robbery with a deadly weapon; bail is set at $50,000.
He's also being held on an unrelated charge of failure to appear, stemming from an earlier petit theft arrest. Bail for that charge is $513.
