HOLIDAY - A second man has been arrested in connection with the Dec. 23 shooting of a teenager in the parking lot of a liquor store.

Michael Jimmer Phillips, 18, of 4532 Kennedy Drive, New Port Richey, was arrested Wednesday at the West Pasco Judicial Center and charged with three counts of attempted murder. He was being held Thursday at Land O' Lakes Jail with bail set at $450,000.

Phillips, along with David Gagne, 18, of 8947 Harvey Lane, Port Richey, and an unknown third person lured Bryan David Burke, also 18, to A-1 Beverage on Moog Road after it had closed, according to a report.

Once Burke pulled into the parking lot, the suspects went up to his car carrying handguns and rifles.

One of the men, armed with a silver .357 Magnum, broke the driver's side window, yelled at Burke to get out of the car and shot him once, said sheriff's office spokesman Kevin Doll.

Burke survived.

Several rounds were fired into Burke's BMW, but neither of his two passengers was hit.

The incident, which Doll called a "set up," was caught on the store's video camera and witnessed by several other people.

Gagne was arrested Christmas Eve and remains in the Land O' Lakes Jail on three counts of attempted murder, records state. His bail is set at $450,000.

"We're still looking for a third suspect," Doll said.
