St. Petersburg police have arrested four people _ including a teenager and his parents _ in connection with a rash of armed robberies in July.
Jaqueal Harris, 18, has been charged in all three robberies, according to a release. His parents, James Harris, 38, and Evette Cleniece Harris, 34, are charged in one of the robberies. Timothy C. Gipson, 19, is charged in another.
All robberies happened on July 16. The first was at 11 a.m. at J&R Alteration, 1435 Fourth St. S., according to the report, when four suspects entered with handguns and ordered the owner to open the safe.
At 11:56 a.m., four suspects entered Sunshine Foods, 2210 62nd Ave. S. One of the suspects was carrying a silver handgun and demanded money. The suspects ran after getting all the cash in the register.
Then at 9 p.m., at Lucky 9 Food Mart, 901 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., two suspects entered the story. One acted as lookout while the other one, who was armed, demanded money.
The Harrises are charged in the Sunshine Foods robbery, according to the report, while Gipson is charged in the J&R robbery. Jaqueal Harris had been previously charged in the J&R robbery.
