TAMPA - A federal judge sentenced a man to life in prison Thursday for conspiring to distribute, and possessing with intent to distribute, 50 grams or more of crack cocaine, the U.S. Attorney's Office said today.
Curtis Norris, 30, was found guilty of the conspiracy charge and six other counts Oct. 15.
On Feb. 28, 2007, as Hillsborough County deputies served a warrant at Norris' apartment, he ran into his bedroom and tossed a shoe box containing nearly 58 grams of crack cocaine and about 32 grams of powder cocaine out a window.
Norris' criminal history includes four prior felony drug convictions, prosecutors said.
