DAYTONA BEACH - Without a full-time Nationwide Series ride for the first time in three years, Zephyrhills' David Reutimann has picked up four races with Braun Racing for this season.
The 2007 Nationwide Series runner-up will pilot the No.10 Toyota at California next month, Texas in April, Michigan in August and Phoenix in November,
"Braun Racing is a top-notch organization in the Nationwide Series, something I know very well having competed against them over the last couple of years," Reutimann said.
Kyle Busch won a race with Braun last year at Charlotte, and Busch, Denny Hamlin and Brian Vickers combined for four second-place finishes.
Bruan also fields two full-time cars in the Nationwide series – the No. 32 Toyota, which Brian Vickers and Burney Lamar will share, and the No. 38 Toyota, with Jason Leffler.
Reutimann will again run a full-time Sprint Cup schedule with Michael Waltrip Racing, even though his No. 00 Toyota – he's switching back to his old number from No. 44 -- only has sponsorship for half of the year with Aaron's Rents.
Team owner Michael Waltrip said he's committed to running the car in all of the races whether another sponsor is found or not.
"We will definitely run the full season with David driving the 00 car," Waltrip said. "We'll just look at it as part of the investment in the future of our team.
"David is obviously a fast race car driver that can win races at the Cup level. We believe that. We think that the investment in the future we cannot afford to not run that car, so that's what we're going to do."
