The Tampa Bay History Center officially opened Saturday at 801 Old Water St. in downtown Tampa. It has 25,000 square feet of exhibit areas featuring 12,000 years of local history, interactive displays and multiple theaters.
"I really think it's a jewel for Tampa," says Keith Berry, an American History professor at Hillsborough Community College. "It is a great lesson for children ... to help us understand our present and where we should head in our future."
