Tex-Mex Tijuana Flats Opens In Land O' Lakes

LAND O' LAKES - Tijuana Flats opened its newest Tampa Bay-area location today at the Willow Bend Shopping Center in Land O' Lakes.

The 90-seat restaurant, which features burritos, quesadillas and other Tex-Mex food, is at 23100 State Road 54 near the recently opened Lifestyles Family Fitness health club.

Owner RDA Inc. has opened two other Pasco locations in recent years, at 27709 State Road 56 in Wesley Chapel and at 10900 State Road 54 in New Port Richey.

The Land O' Lakes opening will include a week's worth of events to highlight the new store. The schedule includes:

Trio Tuesday: guests receive a free Tijuana Trio (chips with salsa, guacamole and queso) with the purchase of an entrée.

Wednesday, Kids Eat Free: Balloons, removable tattoos and other treats.

Thursday, "Rock Out With Your Guac Out!": Party featuring live music, giveaways and $2 Coronas and Sangria.

Saturday, Local Hero Day: police, fire, EMT and city officials receive 50 percent off their meal with proof of ID.

Sunday, Myrtle Lake Baptist Church Day: Tijuana Flats will donate 10 percent of the day's sales to the nearby church.

Winter Park-based Tijuana Flats has 65 locations in five states. The company was founded in 1995.
