A woman arrested on a felony grand theft charge Monday afternoon had her 2-year-old son with her when she took $395 worth of clothing from a JCPenney store, according to a criminal arrest affidavit.
Tiffany Marie Cousin, 26, of Tampa, was also charged with child neglect.
Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies arrested Cousin about 5 p.m. Monday at the Citrus Park Town Center mall after security cameras showed that she took items and left without paying, the arrest affidavit states.
Deputies also arrested Amy Dawn Sputa, 27, who was with Cousin at the store, the affidavit states. Sputa was charged with one count of felony grand theft and child neglect, jail records show.
Cousin and Sputa were being held Monday night on $4,000 bail each at Orient Road Jail.
