Fire At Abandoned Ruskin House Investigated

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue workers battled a two-alarm fire at an abandoned house in Ruskin early this morning.
The fire started about 4:45 a.m. at 1809 S.E. 14th Ave., Capt. Bruce Delk said. This is in a rural area, and the nearest fire hydrant is a mile away, Delk said. Firefighters are shuttling water from the main road down a long dirt driveway.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
