A Palm Harbor man who was reported missing Monday turned up in Tarpon Springs this morning, Pinellas Sheriff's authorities said.
Leo C. Dyer III, 51, who is on several medications, told deputies he went for a walk Monday but couldn't find his way home, authorities said. When it started getting dark, he removed some cardboard from a trash bin and used it for shelter in a wooded area until he awakened and started walking again, they said.
Dyer, who lives with his brother at 510 Channel Court, vanished at 2 p.m. Monday, authorities said. He was found near East Lake Road and Keystone Road in an unincorporated part of Tarpon Springs at 8 a.m. today.
A citizen had heard a description of Dyer on a local radio station and reported seeing a man matching it who was walking along East Lake Road, authorities said. Dyer did not require medical treatment and was returned home.
