Three federal airport security officers from Tampa International Airport and one from St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport will be among 300 Transportation Security Administration officers assisting the Secret Service to screen attendees at the Presidential inauguration in Washington today.
The TSA officers will help screen people along the parade route and at inaugural events at the Capitol.
The assignment is part of the TSA's Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response team concept.
The teams are comprised of federal air marshals, transportation security inspectors, behavior detection officers, and explosives detection canine teams that supplement existing security resources.
