CLEARWATER - Clearwater police are looking for a man they say robbed the Pinellas Federal Credit Union this morning at gunpoint and took a credit union employee's car.
The suspect's face was covered with a scarf. He is otherwise described as a man who is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He is of medium build, has a husky voice and was wearing a navy jacket with a gray hoodie at the time of the holdup, said Elizabeth Watts, a spokeswoman for Clearwater's public safety departments.
The robbery occurred at 10:03 a.m. at the credit union at 1601 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., Watts said. The suspect pulled a gun, demanded money and then demanded the keys to an employee's vehicle, Watts said.
The vehicle he took was a black Pontiac G6 with a license plate number of 1500IG.
No one was injured in the robbery.
