Deputies: Expensive Wine In Pocket Lands Man In Jail

An Indian Shores man was arrested Tuesday after he was caught by supermarket employees stealing an $86.13 bottle of wine, Pinellas County Jail records say.
Jose Antonio Almorza, 42, of 18650 Gulf Blvd., No. 103, was charged with grand theft and resisting a merchant. His bail was set at $2,150.
Almorza is accused of concealing a bottle of Darioush Signature wine in his pocket at the Sweetbay at 10370 Seminole Blvd., Largo, about 5 p.m., according to jail affidavits and Pinellas sheriff's Sgt. Jim Bordner.
Almorza was caught by Sweetbay employees who pinned him to the ground until deputies arrived, the affidavits say.
