NEW PORT RICHEY - After two previous sold-out shows here, Gaelic Storm will return Saturday with upbeat vocals, energetic dance tunes, Celtic ballads and Irish madcap humor.
The Irish crowd-pleasers will appear at 8 p.m. Saturday at Pasco-Hernando Community College's Performing Arts Center, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey.
Gaelic Storm continues to broaden the musical horizons of the Celtic music genre, according to Courtney Boettcher, PHCC marketing coordinator. The group's original arrangements are immersed in Irish traditional melody and acoustic instrumentation combined with their blend of world rhythms.
In 1997 Gaelic Storm first catapulted out of the neighborhood pub scene to international success thanks to an appearance as the "party band" in the steerage scene of "Titanic."
The group's new album, "What's The Rumpus?" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard world chart after its first week on sale.
Ticket prices are $30, $27 and $23 and are available online at www.phcc.edu/tix, by phone at (727) 816-3707 or at the PHCC college store from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
