A 25-year-old Poinciana man investigators say is connected to a slaying in May was indicted today by a Polk County grand jury.
George Miles, of 617 Mercado Court, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Gregory Dane Clark, 34, of Davenport, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Clarke's charred remains were found in the trunk of his burned Lexus on May 15. The car was discovered in an orange grove near the intersection of 10th Street and Patterson Road in Haines City.
"Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our detectives, along with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, we are bringing a murderer to justice," Sheriff Grady Judd said.
Miles is being held by the New York Department of Corrections awaiting extradition back to Florida.
