2 People Hospitalized After Haines City House Fire

A man and woman were injured this morning when a fire erupted in the attic of the Haines City house they were living in.
Polk County firefighters received a call about a blaze at 1757 Adair Road at 7:14 a.m., county public safety spokeswoman Heather Smith said.
The man and woman inside the home were transported to an area hospital with smoke inhalation and burns.
The house was destroyed.
The state fire marshal's office is investigating the fire's cause.
The Davenport Fire Department and Polk emergency medical services also responded to the scene.
