Two Polk County teachers were arrested today on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a dwelling for drug use.
"During a routine search for drugs, PCSO School Resource deputies found marijuana in a student's jacket," a Polk County Sheriff's Office news release states. "Upon further investigation, a confidential source tipped off PCSO detectives about the two teachers."
The teachers work at Donald E. Woods Alternative School.
Bradley Michael Goldsmith, 25, of Davenport told investigators he socially smokes marijuana at his home, deputies say.
His roommates are co-defendants.
They are 26-year-old Jessica Allison Murray, who teaches at the school, and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Jason West. Murray and West both told investigators they smoke marijuana at their home, deputies say.
"When the detectives searched the home that they share they found 1 large bong, 5 glass pipes, 1 cannabis grinder, and cannabis (marijuana)," according to the release.
