ZEPHYRHILLS - For two years, Pasco detectives have searched for a fourth suspect in a rape case in which a woman was held at gunpoint and repeatedly assaulted for three days.
Finally, early this morning, a Pasco deputy went to Marcus Moody's home about 12:30 a.m. and arrested him on a sexual battery warrant.
Investigators say the woman told them she drove to a house on Armstrong Street, near Sixth Street, on Jan. 11, 2007 and met two of the men outside. She was then held there until Jan. 14, when she escaped.
Shortly after, three men were arrested, but some of the charges have since been dropped. It wasn't immediately clear why some of the charges were abandoned. The three were released from jail in March, records show.
Jerome J. Harrison, now 40, of 38307 12th Ave., was arrested on two counts of armed rape and one count of kidnapping. He was also accused of stealing the woman's car. One sexual battery charge and a grand theft motor vehicle charge remain, court records show, but there doesn't appear to be any movement in the cases.
Alonzo Norton, now 35, was arrested on four counts of armed rape and one count of kidnapping. Half those charges remain, records state, but the case doesn't appear to be moving along in court.
Ernest Oliver, now 56, was arrested on two counts or unarmed rape and one count of kidnapping. One of the sexual battery charges remains, according to court records.
Moody, 25, of 40231 Lynbrook Drive, Zephyrhills, was arrested on the sexual battery warrant. He is being held at the Land O' Lakes Jail with bail set at $100,000.
