RUSKIN - A single-vehicle accident on a southbound I-75 off-ramp brought traffic to a halt for more than an hour today.
An 18-wheeler ended up on its side in the middle of exit 240A ramp to Sun City Center.
"The driver said that his load shifted, but it was probably a case of him coming around the curve a little too fast," said state Trooper Shaun Nickel.
Nickel said the accident was reported at 11:16 a.m. and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crew members were still working to clear the road an hour and a half later.
The identity of the driver and the trucking company has not been released. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center.
